Civic act, meeting of two worlds.
On October 27, our traditional civic event was held in commemoration of October 12, and the importance of the value of compassion was also discussed.
The "Meeting of Two Worlds" refers to the arrival of Christopher Columbus to America on October 12, 1492, marking the beginning of contact between Europe and America. This historic event sparked a cultural exchange, but also generated controversy due to the consequences for native peoples. Today, the date is officially commemorated in some countries and is a time to reflect on history and its implications.
