Reading Ceremony 2025
A trip to the imagination! Denham School proudly celebrated the “Reading Ceremony” of its First Basics
What pride and how much emotion was experienced in our school!
We witnessed an unforgettable version of the Reading Ceremony, that magical moment where our little ones in 1st grade not only show that they already know how to read, but invite us to enter their own fantasy world.
On this occasion, the children from both grades left everyone with their mouths open by presenting a story created by themselves. With an enviable personality, some smiles, the students, despite their nervousness, stood in front of an audience full of parents, family, friends, teachers and educational assistants, demonstrating that reading is, above all, a tool to create and dream big.
The day was marked by the words full of affection from their Teachers. Miss Laura Cataldo, who addressed the attendees highlighting the tremendous progress of the children, Miss Valery Muñoz, highlighting the importance of learning to read and write at an early age, while Miss Danixza Barrientos Head teacher of 1st blue, also shared his excitement at seeing the commitment and joy with which his students faced this challenge.
For our families, seeing the little ones read their own stories was a gift to the heart. We know that learning to read is like receiving a master key: from today, the doors to infinite worlds and possibilities open to you. And what better way to do it than by sharing a work born from your own creativity!
It is not easy to stand on stage and speak in front of so many people, but our students did it with an audacity that filled us with admiration. They overcame their nerves, practiced with enthusiasm and the result was simply wonderful.
We wholeheartedly congratulate our brave 1st grade readers. We are sure that this is just the beginning of a long and beautiful journey of love for books and writing.
Keep flying high, little readers!
