Denham School

Our history

The story of Denham School begins in 2012, the result of a shared purpose between Alejandro Denham Núñez and his daughter, Daisy Denham. Motivated by a deep teaching vocation and the desire to build the future, both founded this project, uniting a mentality of excellence with the desire to train well-rounded people.

With that drive, and together with a management team with extensive experience, our institution was born with a clear objective: to provide quality education that combines high academic standards with solid human training. Thus arises a school that seeks excellence, designed to accompany, challenge and empower each student in their comprehensive development.

We decided to establish this project in the commune of San Bernardo, responding to the need of families and parents with high expectations for the future of their children. In this environment, together with young teachers and committed assistants, we have built step by step a community based on respect, coexistence and mutual care.

Today, Denham School continues to grow, faithful to its essence and the educational purpose that gave rise to us: to train not only outstanding students, but conscious citizens prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.

Our logo

Author

The logo was designed by Rodrigo Mora Schrader, artistic designer, from which the product made and always with us is appreciated. The school logo comes from the ancient Denham families, with certainty of England but it is not known exactly from what place in this country, since the 1820. Formerly families lived in castles and strengths with their servants making each family a small town. They had a shield which represented them and protected them in case of a confrontation. This logo, which represented the Denham family, was modified by focusing on elements related to education.

Structure

The shield is preserved and inside there is a pen that means thought, diplomacy, writing and reading, the main tool for learning. On the other hand, it crosses with a sword which reflects the strength and perseverance that our students must have in the learning mission. Gray is related to independence, self-sufficiency and self-control. Blue reflects tranquility, it is associated with that it helps to control the mind, to have clarity of ideas and emerge creativity. Orange represents joy, stimulates the mind, transmits energy and happiness.

Meaning

The school shield reflects all the goals proposed by the establishment and what we want to arrive as an educational institution and the training of our students.

Our Mascot

Our school mascot was created in 2021 as part of a contest for students from 5th Grade to Senior Class, who were invited to design a mascot inspired by our school values. The winner was Sofía Rodríguez, an 8th Grade student, who created our beloved “Dream” a bird that aims to fly high and pursue its dreams, representing our pillar “Dream Big”.
